Church Piano Level Two builds on the foundational skills developed in Level One, equipping students with the tools and techniques to confidently lead worship and accompany congregational singing. This intermediate-level course focuses on expanding repertoire, enhancing chord progressions, and introducing dynamic playing styles that support a variety of worship environments.
Students will learn to:
- Play hymns and contemporary worship songs with more advanced chord inversions and embellishments.
- Transition smoothly between songs in a worship set.
- Apply rhythm patterns and syncopation to create engaging accompaniments.
- Improvise melodies and harmonies to enrich traditional and modern arrangements.
- Use dynamic expressions to match the tone and mood of worship.
By the end of this course, students will be able to accompany a full worship service with confidence, blending technical proficiency with a heart for worship. Designed for those with basic piano skills, this course aims to deepen both musical and spiritual growth, making music a powerful tool for glorifying God.
Prerequisite: Completion of Church Piano Level One or equivalent foundational piano skills.
